Our Approach
Living Valley Landscape Design approaches each project not only as an artistic composition, but as a living system.
Rooted in deep horticultural knowledge and careful plant selection, our designs balance beauty, function and applied ecology. We believe landscapes are most resilient when they are thoughtfully created and actively stewarded — not simply installed and maintained. Our designs are guided by the daily needs and long-term use of our clients.
We are particularly fluent in edible landscapes, naturalistic plantings, Pacific Northwest natives, and the perennial-driven approach of the New Perennial Movement. We also specialize in ecologically sensitive and site-specific scenarios including: wetlands, riparian buffers, erosion-prone slopes, and rain gardens. Every design responds to the unique character of the site and the practical and aesthetic goals of our clients.
Through careful attention to space, form, and material, we create and steward immersive environments that evolve gracefully over time. As a WSNLA Certified Professional Horticulturist with over a dozen years of experience in the field, we ensure that landscapes grow more layered, meaningful, and alive—supporting human life, plant communities, and habitat—in spaces meant for daily use and long-term belonging.
